Aam Admi Party not to contest Assembly elections!
Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Admi Party decided to stay away from Assembly elections. Along with the general elections, the states of Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Andhra Pradesh are also going to have their Assembly elections. But Aam Admi Party decided to not to contest Assembly elections this time owing to the lack of funds and proper machinery to operate at the grass route level.

A source in AAP said, “It is also difficult for our main leaders to campaign. If we are in from Assembly we could not concentrate well on Lok Sabha segment which are crucial in the context of the country’s good”. Aam Admi Party had already announced 435 candidates for Parliament. They are mainly concentrating on the crucial Amethi (Rahul Gandhi’s seat), Delhi and Varanasi (Narendra Modi’s seat). However the party is contesting for Assembly seats which are going for by-polls in Gujarat.
