We often here actor and director clashing on film sets of the director and producer and so on but more often than not these clashes are forgotten when the individuals move to their new projects. However here is a set which is yet to reach a peaceful state a year after their film has released.
The film is a National Award winning Tamil film Jigarthanda and individuals are actor Siddharth, director Karthik Subbaraj and producer Kathir. The problem is with the producer and the sufferers here are the actor and director. The producer back during the release had even stayed the release abruptly for no reason even after allotting shows.
Now he is doing the same with the Telugu dubbed version and the remake rights. While on the former he had made it a big mystery on the latter he has broken the contract and sold the rights without informing the director. The actor-director duo is infuriated as a result and has launched an agitation at producer’s council.
