The dust of state bifurcation may be slowly settling down for many but 25 employees recruited by Assembly of the United state continue to feel the pain as they are not getting salaries from the division. They are recruited when K.R. Suresh Reddy was the Speaker of the undivided AP Assembly as office subordinates, MCDRs, photocopy machine operators, chowkidars and cycle orderlies. But they are not divided between both the states.
They are yet to receive their June salaries as both the states disowned them. Irony is that both the legislatures have been using their services. The employees met the AP Legislature Secretary but they were told to meet his Telangana counterpart, Mr Sadaaram, as he had been the secretary of the undivided Legislature. Having got no assurance from Sadaaram, they are going to take the issue to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao. All of them belong to Telangana and wants to continue with their state.
