Bollywood Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Raees’ is said to be based upon the real life underworld don Latif who hailed from Gujarat. He was shot dead by Gujarat police while escaping from Sabarmathi jail.
Now his son Mustaq has sued the producers namely Shahrukh’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd and other two production houses involved in making the film. He sued for Rs.101 crores alleging that the film is based upon his father’s story which is intended to defame their family name.
The court has issued orders to respond by 11th May on the legal case filed by the descendants of bootlegger Latif. The makers of the movie actually approached the family members earlier and have discussed some chapters with them. Is this latest development suggesting something else?
